Government to Offer 50% Toll Discounts During Festive Seasons

The Malaysian government will continue offering 50% discounts on tolls during major festive seasons throughout 2025. Works Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi announced the policy during a visit to the Federal Route FT05 Sungai Besar – Sabak Bernam. While the discount applies only to Class 1 vehicles and is estimated to cost the government RM20 million, it remains unclear if this targeted approach will replace previous toll-free travel policies.

The government will continue to implement 50% discounts on tolls during festive seasons throughout this year. The new policy was revealed by the Works Minister, Alexander Nanta Linggi during a working visit to the Federal Route FT05 Sungai Besar – Sabak Bernam earlier today..
