The Walking Dead star Erik Jensen, 53, is in the fight of his life after receiving a stage four colon cancer diagnosis. Jensen’s health battle comes 18 months after surviving a brain aneurysm. “The cancer has metastasised to his liver, but Erik is young and strong ,” his family wrote in a GoFundMe message. They said doctors were planning to attempt to shrink the two tumours enough that they can perform two major surgeries to remove them.
“Erik’s aneurysm, the double strikes and now this diagnosis has put their family in an extremely precarious financial position and they need a lot of help to make it through the next year, pay for treatment to fight his cancer, keep their home, and maintain some sort of stability for Sadie.” They shared that Jensen hopes to “work through as much of the medical treatment as possible”.
