A man has died in a single-vehicle crash while driving with two boys in the Hawksebury region on Wednesday evening. The 40-year-old driver died at the scene, and the two boys aged 10 and 13 were seriously injured when the car smashed into a tree about 6.45pm. “Emergency services were called to Oakville Rd, Oakville, following reports a car had left the road and crashed into a tree.,” NSW Police said.
“The driver died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified, but is believed to be a 40-year-old man.” The two boys were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition. The area will be forensically examined in an ongoing investigation, and anyone with dashcam footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
