A visitor at a popular theme park in Shah Alam, Selangor, was injured when a float detached from a glass water slide. The Selangor government will summon the theme park's management to address safety concerns and ensure compliance with regulations before allowing the attraction to reopen.

The Selangor government will summon the management of a renowned theme park in Shah Alam following an incident where a visitor sustained injuries due to a float detaching from a glass water slide on Wednesday, January 29.

During a press conference held after attending the Selangor-level Thaiponggal 2025 festivities on Saturday, February 3, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari stated that the meeting aims to address several safety concerns before the theme park's newest attraction is permitted to resume operations. \\\'Currently, the attraction is closed. If they can comply with the specifications outlined by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) and if we review their latest safety measures in their subsequent application, then it will be allowed to reopen,' he explained. \\\Previously, on Friday, January 31, the MBSA confirmed issuing nine notices against the theme park, including three warnings on November 14, 2024, and one on January 19. These notices highlight the recurring safety concerns associated with the theme park's operations
