Malaysian police are investigating a blog accused of spreading defamation and accusations against former Deputy Chancellor of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd. Ekhwan Toriman. Police are interviewing UKM deputy chancellors and plan to interview the former deputy chancellor as part of their investigation. Ekhwan resigned last Sunday and filed police reports and complaints with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) regarding the alleged defamation.
