Former UKM Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd. Ekhwan Toriman, has filed two police reports against allegations of defamation and slander leveled against him. The reports were lodged on February 3rd and are being investigated under Section 500 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

PETALING JAYA: Polis mengesahkan menerima laporan daripada bekas Naib Canselor Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia , Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd. Ekhwan Toriman berhubung fitnah dan tohmahan yang dilemparkan terhadapnya.

“Ada, kita terima dua laporan petang semalam daripada Naib Canselor tersebut,” katanya ketika dihubungi pemberita hari ini. Beliau juga memaklumkan bahawa satu laporan kepada polis dan Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia telah dibuat bagi menafikan dakwaan tidak berasas yang mengaitkan namanya.
