Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, urged the government to assist farmers, fishermen, and smallholders to ensure national food security. He stressed the need for government commitment to strengthen sectors involved in food security, including agriculture, commodities, and food supply chains. The Sultan also called for measures to empower the Bumiputra economy, affordable housing, and improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, and education.
KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim menitah kerajaan untuk membantu golongan pekebun kecil dan petani bagi memastikan keterjaminan makanan di dalam negara ini.
“Saya menyeru kerajaan untuk terus membantu pekebun kecil, petani, penternak dan nelayan, serta mengambil tindakan proaktif bagi memperkasa sektor pertanian, komoditi dan rantaian bekalan makanan,” titah Seri Paduka di Dewan Rakyat, hari ini. Sementara itu, Seri Paduka Baginda bertitah, agenda memperkasa ekonomi Bumiputera melalui kerjasama dan sokongan syarikat kerajaan mesti dilaksanakan.
