Opposition Leader Hamzah Zainudin urges the government to implement the decree of the King regarding former premier Najib Razak, drawing attention to an alleged royal addendum order that could impact Najib's prison sentence.
The government is urged to follow the decree of the Malaysia n King regarding former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak . Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin made this statement two days before a planned solidarity gathering outside the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya, coinciding with the Court of Appeal’s hearing on an alleged royal addendum order that could allow Najib to serve the rest of his prison term under house arrest.
Hamzah stated that the public has the right to know if there was an additional decree regarding pardons issued by Sultan Ibrahim. He emphasized the duty of all Malaysians to uphold and honor the institution of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the royal institution. He added that the government or any relevant parties must implement the decree of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in an orderly manner according to the nation's legal framework, including any additional decrees regarding royal pardons. Hamzah highlighted the public's right to know the truth about the alleged addendum decree and questioned why it hasn't been implemented despite being issued over a year ago. He stressed that any action of defiance, concealment, or denial of any decree issued by the Institution of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong constitutes a serious betrayal of the King and the nation
