The Voice to Parliament is a “vehicle” for getting “better practical outcomes” for Indigenous Australians, says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

“To close the gap, which is there in health, in education, in housing, in life expectancy, in justice outcomes,” he told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

Mr Albanese said the programs that are “most effective” are those which have involved and have the ownership of Indigenous Australians themselves.
