Sky News host Peta Credlin says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is asking for a “blank cheque” based on the “vibe” of the Indigenous Voice to Parliament.

“To demand you support a new body that he says we need to drive equality, but which will only entrench inequality and racial difference in our nation’s most important document,” Ms Credlin said.

“What he’s trying to do is harness the goodwill that almost every one of us has towards Indigenous people.” Ms Credlin said in a sign that Labor is “desperate” the vote for the Voice gets up, it’s “bending over backwards to shut down” any alternative information getting to Australians. “This Voice is by far the biggest issue facing Australia right now because if it happens later in the year, it will change forever the way we are governed. And change it not for the better,” she said.
