TNB Electron, Malaysia's leading electric vehicle (EV) charging network, has expanded its presence in Johor with the addition of two new DC fast chargers. These chargers are strategically located at popular shopping malls, providing convenient charging options for EV motorists in the southern state.

TNB Electron continues to expand its footprint in Malaysia by adding Johor to its coverage map. Two new TNB Electron DC chargers have been installed in the southern state. One is located at the Aeon Taman Universiti Shopping Centre near Skudai, Johor Bahru. This location features a 47kW charger, and EV owners can enjoy free charging at TNB Electron Aeon Mall Taman Universiti until 11:59 PM on Thursday, 23 January.

For those unfamiliar with TNB Electron chargers, they can be activated through the Go To-U app. As the Go To-U app allows users to book the charger in advance, it's recommended to check its availability before heading to Aeon Mall Taman Universiti to take advantage of the free charging offer.Additionally, another TNB Electron charger is set to be activated in Johor tomorrow. This charger is located at Aeon Mall Bandar Dato’ Onn, about 20km away from Aeon Taman Universiti Shopping Centre. TNBX has installed a 47kW Autel MaxiCharger DC charger with a pair of CCS2 nozzles at this location. However, since the charger hasn't appeared on the Go To-U app yet, the official charging fee is unknown. We anticipate it to be set at RM1.35 per kWh, similar to other TNB Electron chargers. It's also unclear if there will be any free charging periods once the charger is open to the public. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available
