JOHOR BARU : Two men were arrested following a 20-minute high-speed chase with police along a 6km stretch here, found to be under the influence of drugs.

"The police detected a suspicious-looking red car. When they asked its driver to stop for inspection, the suspect sped off, driving recklessly and dangerously instead. "The chase, involving five police patrol cars, lasted about 20 minutes. The police later managed to successfully arrest the suspects when the car stopped due to traffic congestion," he said in a statement.

He added that the 24-year-old driver of the car had two prior drug-related offences, while his 28-year-old passenger had no previous criminal records.
