Police in Klang , Malaysia, have apprehended two men for allegedly setting off fireworks on a woman's car in Taman Sentosa. Klang Selatan district police chief Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong confirmed the arrests, stating that the district Criminal Investigation Department (CID) D7 branch took the suspects into custody around 11:30 pm on Friday, January 24th.

The incident occurred on Jalan Shahbudin 29 in Sentosa, Klang, where the two men were reportedly standing in the middle of the road. As the woman driving a Perodua Axia approached, one of the suspects placed fireworks on the car's bonnet. After the driver confronted the men, one of them retrieved the fireworks and placed them to the side of her vehicle. The Klang police crime division has launched an investigation into the incident under Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief and Section 3(5) of the Minor Offences Act 1995 for lighting fireworks in public. The penalties for these offenses can include imprisonment for up to two years, caning, fines, or a combination of these punishments. Both suspects, aged 18 and 21, have no prior criminal records and have been remanded for three days until Monday, January 27th
