Former Victorian Liberal president Michael Kroger says former prime minister Tony Abbott is someone who should be “seriously considered” for the Senate vacancy in New South Wales.

Mr Kroger’s remarks come after NSW Senator Jim Molan passed away aged 72 after a “sudden and rapid” decline in health,

according to the family.“Ultimately, these matters have to be determined,” he told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
