A TikTok user's social experiment involving dropping a RM50 note on the floor in a Malaysian mall revealed diverse reactions from the public, highlighting contrasting attitudes towards honesty.

TikTok user @firdausjaidil recently shared a video on his TikTok where he conducted a social experiment in which he “accidentally” dropped a RM50 note on the floor to see the public’s response.

In the video, Firdaus intentionally drops a RM50 note while pretending to walk into a shop at a mall in Kuching.Firdaus did several takes of the social experiment, recording different responses and actions from people passing by. In one instance, a man walking with his children and pregnant wife spotted the RM50 note on the ground. Instead of returning it, he casually picked it up while looking around and slipped it into his pocket before walking away.In another instance, Firdaus dropped another RM50 note on the ground, and a man wearing a cap immediately noticed it and picked it up.Impressed by the man’s honesty, Firdaus told him it was part of a social experiment and offered him a reward.
