A resourceful user on X (formerly Twitter) devised a clever tactic to outsmart an online scammer. By repeatedly sending one sen to the scammer's account via Hong Leong bank and labeling the payment as 'scammer,' she triggered a response from the scammer and eventually received her refund. The theory behind this method is that the frequent, small transactions would attract the attention of banks and authorities, leading to an investigation.
