Police in Malaysia have arrested three Indonesian nationals in connection with the discovery of a woman and her infant's bodies along a roadside. The suspects are being held for questioning and authorities are investigating the case under Section 316 of the Penal Code for causing the death of an unborn child.

Three Indonesians have been arrested in connection with the bodies of a foreign woman and her infant found along the roadside here. Kulai OCPD Asst Comm Tan Seng Lee said two men and a woman aged between 42 and 53-years-old were arrested in Kulai and Johor Baru on Wednesday (Jan 8) afternoon. 'The suspects have been placed under police remand until Saturday (Jan 11) to assist in the investigation.

We also seized four mobile phones, a car, a mattress, and a mat during the arrests,' he said on Thursday (January 9). The case is being investigated under Section 316 of the Penal Code for causing the death of an unborn child, which carries a maximum jail term of 10 years and a fine. On Tuesday (Jan 7), ACP Tan said the bodies of an unidentified woman and her baby, who still had an umbilical cord attached, were found at Jalan Impiana 5, Taman Impiana Kelapa Sawit at around 8.15am.No external injuries were found on the victims, but police discovered some organic matter believed to be the placenta near the bodies
