Famous Malaysian singer Ziana Zain and two other celebrities, Datuk Jalaluddin Hassan and Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Al Masrie Sheikh Mustapha, provided their statements to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in relation to an ongoing investigation codenamed Ops Sky. The probe focuses on corruption and money laundering activities linked to a financial consultancy firm.

Putrajaya: Malaysian singer Ziana Zain, along with celebrities Datuk Jalaluddin Hassan and Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Al Masrie Sheikh Mustapha, completed their statements to the Malaysian Anti- Corruption Commission ( MACC ) after five hours of questioning. The 'Madah Berhelah' singer left the MACC headquarters at 3pm in her vehicle, while the other two celebrities departed separately in their own cars.

They arrived at 9:30am after being summoned by the MACC to assist in investigations related to corruption and money laundering involving a financial consultancy firm. In January, MACC successfully dismantled a corruption and money laundering operation involving a financial consultancy firm and bank officers across several financial institutions in Ops Sky. This operation resulted in the arrest of 12 individuals in raids by MACC’s Anti-Money Laundering Division (AMLA), in collaboration with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), at 24 locations, including residences and offices around the Klang Valley. A total of RM700 million in loans were approved for civil servants, with the modus operandi believed to involve elements of corruption and money laundering. These recent developments follow MACC's request to expedite the graft probe involving Sabah assemblymen
