Veteran actor Datuk Jalaluddin Hassan, singer Siti Roziana Zain, and Malaysia's first astronaut, Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, appeared at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters to provide statements in a money laundering and corruption investigation.

Three Malaysia n public figures, veteran actor Datuk Jalaluddin Hassan, singer Siti Roziana Zain (known as Ziana Zain), and Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Al Masrie Sheikh Mustapha, Malaysia 's first astronaut, were at the Malaysia n Anti-Corruption Commission ( MACC ) headquarters in Putrajaya on February 6 to give statements regarding a corruption and money laundering investigation known as Op Sky . This investigation focuses on a financial consultancy firm.

The celebrities arrived at the MACC headquarters through the back entrance, avoiding the waiting media personnel who had gathered at the front entrance as early as 9am. MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki had previously confirmed that these individuals were expected to appear at the MACC headquarters at 10am, stating that their statements were needed to assist the Op Sky investigation. However, he emphasized that their appearance did not mean they were considered suspects. Previous reports indicated that several celebrities and artists were paid up to RM400,000 over one to two years to act as ambassadors for this financial consultancy firm. The Op Sky operation recently uncovered a large-scale corruption and money laundering network involving financial consultants and bank officers from several financial institutions. So far, 12 individuals have been arrested in raids conducted by the MACC's Anti-Money Laundering Division, in collaboration with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), at 24 locations, including residences and offices across the Klang Valley. A total of 27 people have been detained in the investigation, comprising 18 bank officers, eight staff members of the financial consultancy firm, and one civilian.
