Thailand 's government has expressed a strong interest in collaborating with Malaysia in the field of digital governance to enhance the quality of life for its citizens. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand , Prasert Jantararuangtong, stated that Thailand aims to partner with ASEAN member countries to elevate the standard of living in the region.

\ Prasert highlighted Malaysia's successful implementation of digital government initiatives, particularly in the areas of government digitization and cloud technology. He emphasized Thailand's desire to learn from Malaysia's experience in these sectors to improve the well-being of Thai citizens. During a bilateral meeting with Malaysian Minister of Digital, Gobind Singh Deo, Prasert also commended Malaysia's advancements in various digital fields, including smart city projects, cybersecurity, gaming and animation, as well as the startup ecosystem. \ Prasert underscored the significance of the ASEAN Digital Government Ministers' Meeting (ADGMIN) as a platform for Thailand to showcase its digital capabilities and leadership within ASEAN. He stressed the importance of developing digital infrastructure and fostering innovation to enhance Thailand's competitiveness. Prasert expressed optimism that Thailand would reap significant benefits from the meeting, including strengthening digital cooperation with ASEAN member states and dialogue partners, exchanging knowledge and technology, promoting the digital economy, and elevating digital skills among Thai citizens. He also emphasized the government's commitment to cybersecurity and data privacy protection as priorities, recognizing their crucial role in building investor confidence and supporting sustainable economic growth. Earlier, Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra officially launched the 5th ASEAN Digital Government Ministers' Meeting (ADGMIN) in Bangkok on Thursday.
