Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has decreed that government employees in Pahang will have their work day end at 12:30 pm every Friday during the month of Ramadan.This decision aims to give civil servants more time with their families during the holy month.

Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has decreed that government employees in Pahang will have their work day end at 12:30 pm every Friday during the month of Ramadan . According to Harian Metro, the Pahang State Government, which convened on February 5th, agreed and approved the proposal during a State Government Meeting.

'This decision and the convenience provided is to give civil servants the opportunity to spend more time with their families during the month of Ramadan, in addition to honoring Friday, the head of all days,' he decreed.The Sultan made this decree while officiating at the Closing Ceremony of the 68th Pahang Quran Tilawah Competition at the Dewan Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah on the evening of February 13th. The Sultan reiterated that the upcoming Ramadan is also the best time to return to our true nature and reduce our focus on worldly matters. He added that the Muslim community should take advantage of this opportunity to draw closer to the Quran, increase their recitation, contemplation, and the application of its teachings in their lives. 'I also make it a point to recite the Quran and contemplate its verses with my staff at Istana Abdulaziz. The Quran is not just read but understood and its meaning is appreciated. The knowledge of the Quran must be studied through proper learning, just as the Prophet SAW was taught by the angel Jibril,' he decreed. Brigadier General Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah, the Tengku Panglima Raja, and Tengku Ahmad Ismail Mu'adzam Shah, the Tengku Panglima Perang, were also present.
