SSM Supports Students with RM70,000 in School Supplies

The Malaysian Companies Commission (SSM) recently presented RM70,000 worth of school supplies to 180 students and 20 underprivileged students from PPR Seri Cempaka. This initiative, part of the SSM Back to School Program 2025, reflects SSM's commitment to supporting the next generation through education. The contributions were presented by SSM Chairman, Ahmad Sabki Yusof, who emphasized the importance of education in shaping a future generation that is visionary, integrity-driven, and ready to face the challenges of the future.

KUALA LUMPUR: One hundred and eighty students and twenty underprivileged students from PPR Seri Cempaka received RM70,000 from the Malaysian Companies Commission ( SSM ) through the Corporate Zakat Agency (WZK) and Corporate Social Responsibility ( CSR ) contributions as part of the SSM Back to School Program 2025 recently. The contributions in the form of school supplies worth RM350 each were presented by the SSM Chairman, Ahmad Sabki Yusof.

In his speech, Ahmad Sabki said that the program reflects SSM's commitment to supporting efforts to empower the next generation because education is a fundamental pillar in shaping a future generation that is visionary, integrity-driven, and ready to face the challenges of the future with confidence and competitiveness. Also present were the Chairman of the Zakat and Corporate Social Responsibility Management Committee (JPZCSR) SSM, Rezy Izwan Ramly and the President of the Seri Cempaka Youth Association, Sarifuddin Mohd Fahmi. He said that from January 1 to December 31, 2024, SSM distributed more than RM7.4 million using the SSM Corporate Zakat Agency funds to 11,242 recipients nationwide. During the same period, SSM also contributed more than RM535,000 using CSR funds to 932 needy recipients. – UTUSA
