PETALING JAYA: Sektor perdagangan borong dan runcit melonjak kepada paras tertinggi baharu kepada RM1.77 trilion pada 2024, meningkat 5.5 peratus tahun ke tahun, menurut Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia (DOSM).

PETALING JAYA: Sektor perdagangan borong dan runcit melonjak kepada paras tertinggi baharu kepada RM1.77 trilion pada 2024, meningkat 5.5 peratus tahun ke tahun, menurut Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia .

“Perdagangan runcit pula merekodkan jumlah jualan RM65.8 bilion, meningkat RM3.4 bilion dengan pertumbuhan tahun ke tahun sebanyak 5.4 peratus. “Selain itu, kumpulan jualan borong bahan mentah pertanian dan haiwan hidup mencatatkan peningkatan ketara sebanyak 13.9 peratus kepada RM6.6 bilion. Mengulas lanjut mengenai subsektor perdagangan runcit, Uzir Mahidin menjelaskan segmen ini disokong oleh jualan runcit di kedai bukan pengkhususan yang meningkat sebanyak 5.4 peratus kepada RM25.1 bilion dan jualan runcit di kedai pengkhususan yang berkembang 7.0 peratus kepada RM14.1 bilion pada Disember 2024.

“Jualan runcit bahan api kenderaan meningkat sebanyak 6.5 peratus kepada RM6.0 bilion, mencerminkan peningkatan aktiviti perjalanan,” katanya.
