A collision involving two vehicles outside an entertainment center in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, resulted in injuries to three individuals including a woman. police have arrested five suspects and are investigating the incident as attempted murder.
Petaling Jaya police have confirmed that three victims, including a woman, were injured following a collision involving two vehicles outside an entertainment center on Jalan Klang Lama here on Wednesday. Brickfields District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood, said all three victims were local citizens aged between 20 and 40 years old.
\“One male victim who sustained injuries was sent to and treated at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) but was allowed to leave after treatment. “Two other victims, including a woman, only suffered minor injuries and were not sent to the hospital for treatment,” he said when contacted here today. \Ku Mashariman said that so far, five suspects have been remanded for between five and seven days to assist in the investigation. “The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code, which is attempted murder,” he said. Earlier, media reported that several individuals were injured after being hit by two vehicles, a Toyota Vios and a four-wheel drive Hilux, in an incident around 6.18 am on Wednesday. Ku Mashariman reportedly said that the two vehicles drove out of a parking building and drove recklessly in front of Top Plus Club on Jalan Klang Lama nearby. \He said the vehicles involved had collided with a group of men, resulting in at least two people being injured with one victim being sent to the hospital by ambulance. Following that, five individuals were arrested while three others were asked to surrender to the police. Yesterday, Home Minister, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, described the incident as not an 'ordinary accident', but a clearly criminal act. “This incident is serious. We see in the (viral) video, it is not an ordinary accident. It looks like he (suspect) 'rammed' (accelerated) for the purpose of murder. \“Let the police conduct an investigation… I have also been informed that arrests have been made. The police will also open an investigation paper immediately,” he said.
