Northeast district Civil Defence Force officer Kapt Muhammad Aizat Abd Ghani said that a call about the incident had been received shortly before 9.20am. In the incident, the man had seen the tree falling towards him and had tried to escape but tripped and fell onto the road and at this point, a branch from the tree hit him.
Despite the injuries to his face and various parts of his body, the man was rescued and is reported to be in stable condition after being rushed to the hospital for further treatment.
