PBS to name candidate for Sandakan by-election on April 25
Ongkili, who is Kota Marudu MP, said the announcement would be made at 10am in Sandakan, but the location of the press conference has not been confirmed yet.
"No candidate is perfect, but we will be fielding someone who is marketable and can be accepted by our comrades from other opposition parties," he said in Penampang on Thursday . There has been speculation that PBS might field former Batu Sapi MP Datuk Linda Tsen, who was pushed into the political limelight in 2010 to contest the seat after her husband Datuk Edmond Chong died in a motorcycle accident.Another name mentioned is Tsen's former aide Kong Nyuk Thou, who is PBS' Elopura division chief.
