No Firm Date Yet on KLIA Aerotrain Revival

The repair process currently involves dynamic testing, followed by full testing and system integration.

PUTRAJAYA: The contractors repairing the automated people mover system at KL International Airport have yet to give a firm date on when it will be operational again, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

“We are at the contractor level now and they have yet to give us a firm date, even though before this they say they can finish it by Jan 31 this year,” said Loke during a press conference at the Transport Ministry on Wednesday .“Now it is dynamic testing and it will be full testing later. After that, there will be a system integration,” said Loke.On June 18, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd said that the Aerotrain Replacement Project at KLIA is slated to be completed by Jan 31, 2025.
