The amendment to the National Forestry Act (Act A1667) of 2022, implemented in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan, aims to improve the management of permanent forest reserves (HSKs). This follows Royal assent on September 7, 2022, and publication in the Gazette on September 20, 2022. The Act introduces public consultation procedures before declaring HSKs, strengthening management and protection.

PETALING JAYA: Akta Perhutanan Negara 2022 di Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya dan Labuan bertujuan menambah baik pengurusan hutan simpanan kekal , berkuat kuasa hari ini.

“Kaedah-kaedah ini memperincikan proses kerja di peringkat sebelum, semasa dan selepas siasatan awam dijalankan,” katanya dalam kenyataan, hari ini. “Pada masa ini, keluasan keseluruhan HSK di Wilayah Persekutuan ialah 152.97 hektar yang merangkumi 84.689 hektar HSK di Kuala Lumpur dan 68.281 hektar HSK terletak di Labuan.
