The MyGOV app aims to be the app for all govt services. It is now available as a BETA release but the AI Chatbot feature is a total mess.
While digitalisation is crucial to improve service delivery by government agencies, Malaysians face huge fragmentation across apps and digital platforms. There are currently, an app that aims to serve as a single hub for government services. Essentially, this should eventually be the only app you’ll ever need for government-related services, and you don’t have to download different apps from various ministries and departments.
They have also announced plans to add a payment gateway to the app which would allow users to pay for traffic summons and renewal of passports. Unfortunately, there’s no hard targets or timeline to integrate all government services into the app. From our quick test, the AI Chat in its current state is not dependable as it has been churning out inaccurate information.
