Digital Extremes has announced that it is launching a closed beta test for the Android version of Warframe this fall.
Warframe developer Digital Extremes recently held its yearly TennoCon event, where it revealed its upcoming plans for the looter-shooter video game. Among the announcements is the upcoming launch of a closed beta test for the Android version of the game. While the developer did not mention a specific date for the test, it is confirmed to take place this fall.
Registration for the closed beta test is now open on the game's official website. Ahead of the rollout, Digital Extremes has published an FAQ page with information on the beta. However, some details such as the minimum specifications and OS requirements are unclear at the moment.For now, those who wish to participate in the closed beta can do so with their Warframe accounts. To qualify for the test, the player must submit the name, make, or model of their Android device.
It is also worth noting that access to the closed beta test will be limited, and those who register in advance will be prioritised. Digital Extremes advises players to make sure their user information is up to date, as the invitations will be sent to the email addresses associated with the players’ accounts. Additionally, registration does not necessarily guarantee access to the closed beta.
Players participating in the closed beta test will have access to the entire game, but will start at the very beginning regardless of account status. Aside from that, cross-platform play will be unavailable for the test, with multiplayer being restricted to fellow participants of the beta. Progress in the closed beta will also be deleted at the end of the test period.
Digital Extremes has yet to share the finalised list of countries that can participate in the closed beta, so we will have to wait and see if Malaysia will be among the selected regions. In the meantime, though, the game is available on various other platforms including iOS.
