Metro Manila Mayors agreed that the licenses of traffic violators would not be confiscated until after the single-ticketing system and its demerit scheme was implemented, Sam Nielsen reported on Super Radyo dzBB.

During Saturday's fourth meeting of the Technical Working Group on the single-ticketing system, acting Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairperson Romando Artes said the Technical Working Group was still finalizing the implementation.

Traffic violations that cannot be redeemed at the local government units will be listed, then transferred to the Land Transportation Office . However, Metro Manila Council president and San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora warned that each LGU would continue to issue traffic violation receipts , and violators must also pay fines for violations. But, as soon as the single ticketing system's implementation begins, all motorists' accumulated violations will be documented under the LTO.

There will be a demerit scheme in the single ticketing system. Each violation will require a point deduction, and licenses can be confiscated or revoked once they reach the ten points limit. The guidelines and implementation of the single ticketing system will be released in the first quarter of 2023.
