Majlis Agama Islam Melaka (MAIM) will be distributing RM7.52 million in Zakat Fitrah and Fidyah aid to 8,781 poor and needy households in Melaka ahead of Ramadan. This aid, which comprises RM400 for each head of asnaf fakir household, RM250 for each head of asnaf miskin household, and an additional RM100 per person, is seen as a preparation for Ramadan and a contribution towards the overall welfare of the recipients. The increased Zakat collection in 2024, amounting to RM141 million, compared to RM128.3 million in 2023, has enabled MAIM to allocate a larger sum for this purpose.
MELAKA : Seramai 8,781 ketua isi rumah asnaf fakir dan miskin di negeri ini akan menerima sumbangan zakat fitrah dan fidyah berjumlah keseluruhan RM7.52 juta daripada Majlis Agama Islam Melaka .
“Bantuan persediaan Ramadan dan Fidyah merupakan salah satu bentuk bantuan zakat yang disediakan oleh MAIM, khusus kepada penerima bantuan zakat sama ada bulanan atau tahunan pada setiap tahun. Tambah Rahmad, peningkatan jumlah kutipan zakat keseluruhan yang dicapai pada 2024 adalah sebanyak RM141 juta, meningkat hampir RM13 juta berbanding kutipan 2023 iaitu RM128.3 juta.
