Emphasising programmes in Sabah among students from different states will not only promote the State but also highlight the importance of unity, said Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Datuk Ir Shahelmey Yahya.

PAPAR: .In line with Keluarga Malaysia , he said carrying out various programmes among higher learning education students nationwide will not only give them the opportunity to experience life in Sabah but also understand each other better. He also said that these would also give students the chance to be part of a community in other side of the country in which they may be unfamiliar not the geographical characteristics in Sabah as well as the culture.

He also hoped that such programmes would be carried out continuously to ensure that the Malaysian Family concept will not only be emphasised but also implanted among Malaysians, especially students. “I hope that this programme will be held annually as it can make the Malaysian Family concept very effective. “As this was organised by the Federal Government through the Ministry of National Unity, my Ministry would surely welcome such programmes to be organised in Sabah.
