Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong paid his last respects to Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidate Sim Hui Yi, who passed away after falling into a coma just one day before the national exam. Dr Wee expressed his condolences to Sim's parents and promised assistance from Ling Tian Soon and himself.

BATU PAHAT: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong paid his last respects to Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia candidate Sim Hui Yi , who passed away after falling into a coma one day before the national exam."It was very sudden, just a day before SPM ."I hope that her parents remain strong in facing such a difficult time," he said after paying his last respects to the 17-year-old.

Dr Wee was also seen spending some time talking to Sim's parents and offering them words of encouragement.The SMK Yong Peng student passed away on Thursday after falling into a coma one day before SPM. Earlier, Ling, who is also MCA Youth chief and state health and environment committee chairman, said the student had complained of a severe headache one day before sitting for her SPM.
