Let's Ignite Nusantara Kita (LINK), an initiative spearheaded by students from the Public Relations Department of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, stands as a unique endeavor fostering cultural exchange between Malaysia and Indonesia . This historic program not only strengthens bilateral ties between the two neighboring countries but also contributes to the advancement of public relations through collaborative activities.
Serving as a vital platform for deeper understanding, the project aligns with efforts to elevate the values of Nusantara culture on a global scale. Datuk Syed Mohamad Hasrin Tengku Hussin, the Malaysian Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, lauded the program as an excellent initiative, particularly in its focus on cultural exchange between Malaysia and Indonesia. He emphasized the shared similarities between the two nations, highlighting the bond of brotherhood, historical connections, and friendship. He expressed hope that the program would further solidify the relationship between the two countries. The Ambassador stressed the significance of 'people-to-people contact' as a crucial element in any bilateral relationship. He urged for continued programs like LINK that capitalize on every opportunity to prevent misunderstandings. The Projek LINK involved 35 students and four lecturers from the Public Relations Department of UiTM Shah Alam who embarked on a transformative journey to Jakarta, Indonesia, from January 12 to 15. The four-day program provided meaningful experiences for the students through cultural and academic exchanges. Dr. Wan Norbani Wan Noordin, Head of Strategic Communication Center, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies UiTM, underscored the immense value of this collaboration in the field of communication. He stated that communication extends beyond mere words, encompassing understanding, bridging differences, and finding common ground. He commended the students and organizers of Projek LINK for successfully realizing this extraordinary vision.Nurul Batrisya Zailani, the Project Lead for Projek LINK, expressed gratitude for the hard work and collaboration demonstrated throughout the program. She acknowledged the challenges in bringing Projek LINK to fruition but lauded the students' leadership and remarkable spirit of teamwork. Batrisya expressed hope that the program would prove to be a valuable experience, not only fostering individual growth but also strengthening the bond between the two nations
