KUALA LUMPUR: Pelawak popular yang ditahan di Jeddah , Arab Saudi pada Oktober lalu atas kesalahan dadah sedang menjalani hukuman penjara selama enam bulan.Menurut sumber, dia kini sedang hukuman penjara yang dikenakan ke atasnya sebelum dibebaskan.

“Berdasarkan hukuman penjaranya dia dijangka akan selesai menjalani hukuman penjara pada April ini,” katanya ketika dihubungi di sini hari ini. Sejak penahanannya, pihak Kedutaan Besar Malaysia dan Konsulat Jeneral Malaysia di Jeddah, telah memberikan bantuan konsular kepada warga Malaysia terbabit. Sebelum ini, Utusan Malaysia melaporkan seorang pelawak terkenal dikatakan ditahan di Jeddah kerana dipercayai memiliki dadah jenis ganja ketika dalam perjalanan menunaikan umrah Oktober lalu.
