Siti Nurshuhaini Azman made it 2-0 after beating Khushi Harakamani 21-12, 21-12 in the girls' singles. Boys' doubles pair Fazriq Razif-Wong Vin Sean gave Malaysia an unassailable 3-0 lead by beating Victor Morskogen-Daniel Strom 21-12, 21-9. Girls' doubles combination Ong Xin Yee-Carmen Ting and mixed doubles duo Bryan Jeremy Goonting-Lee Xin Jie also won their matches to give Malaysia a rousing start.
