Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, the Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Home Affairs, has suggested the use of QR codes for immigration checks at entry points to improve efficiency and reduce congestion. The system will be initially tested at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and then expanded to other major entry points.
The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, has proposed the implementation of a new Quick Response (QR) code system at country entry points to streamline immigration checks for travelers. This initiative aims to enhance safety, reduce queues, and improve overall efficiency. The QR codes would contain travelers' personal and journey details, enabling faster processing.
Additionally, the ministry plans to expand the use of QR codes to other major entry points, including international airports and border checkpoints
