A group of young performers fell into a large hole when the floor of their lion dance performance suddenly collapsed in Tamparuli, Sabah . According to Berita Harian reports, the three lion dance rs involved in the accident were reportedly unharmed and successfully rescued.Local resident Rayner Ebi said the incident, which occurred on Jalan Bunga, shocked the crowd who were watching the performance.
'Fortunately, none of the lion dancers were injured and were managed to be pulled out by some of their teammates from the ditch that formed,' he said. The incident serves as a clear reminder of the importance of maintaining essential infrastructure in the town area, which needs to be addressed promptly by local authorities,' he added.Rayner, who is also an officer at the Tuaran parliamentary service center, called for immediate action to ensure public safety. He said he rushed to the scene after receiving messages about the incident. 'The issue with the pavement floor of the problematic shop had already been reported to the Tuaran District Council for safety action before the incident,' he said. However, fate had other plans, as the pavement floor collapsed during a lion dance performance at the location. He added that residents who frequently pass through the area need to be cautious and urge local authorities to take immediate action regarding this matter
