Despite the demolition of illegal structures in 2022, Bukit Malut, a settlement in Langkawi inhabited by Malay Muslims of Kedah (MIK) and Rohingya refugees, remains stagnant. The promise of resettlement spearheaded by Permodalan Kedah Berhad (PKB) has yet to materialize, leaving residents questioning the government's commitment.
