A special committee chaired by the National Security Council (MKN) has been established to discuss the issue of the illegal settlement of Bukit Malut in Langkawi. The committee, which also includes the Kedah state government, has already held its first meeting, drawing the attention of the Home Ministry (KDN). The Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, stated that the MKN has the authority over Bukit Malut and that discussions regarding the settlement have been ongoing between the KDN and MKN. The KDN also possesses a database containing information about the residents of Bukit Malut, including their number, background, economic status, education, occupation, and age. This data will be used to analyze the next steps regarding Bukit Malut. The illegal settlement of Bukit Malut has been a long-standing issue, with various problems yet to be resolved. The Home Ministry, through the Immigration Department (JIM), will continue to raid more illegal clinics operating with fake foreign doctors in the country following a raid in the capital city yesterday. The majority of these illegal clinics are detected in the Klang Valley and surrounding areas. The JIM has identified and knows the location of these clinics, and they are all under surveillance.
