The construction of Ketech Asia Sdn. Bhd.'s high-tech bullet factory in Kampung Kechau Tui, Lipis, is expected to elevate Malaysia's competitiveness in the defense industry. The 40.5-hectare factory is seen as a source of pride for Pahang residents and a symbol of the nation's ability to advance high-technology industries. It will create job opportunities in engineering and technical fields, prioritizing local residents in Lipis and surrounding areas. This initiative, spearheaded by the Sultan of Pahang, aims to balance economic development across the state.
LIPIS: Pembinaan kilang peluru Ketech Asia Sdn. Bhd. di Kampung Kechau Tui di sini bakal melonjakkan Malaysia sebagai sebuah negara yang berdaya saing dalam sektor pertahanan.
Katanya, kilang berkeluasan 40.5 hektar itu bakal mewujudkan peluang pekerjaan dalam pelbagai bidang seperti kejuruteraan dan teknikal. “Pembinaan kilang peluru ini adalah idea Sultan Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah sendiri dan kerajaan negeri sebagai strategi dalam mengimbangi pembangunan ekonomi” katanya ketika dihubungi Utusan Malaysia.Menurut Mohd. Soffi, kilang peluru itu menjadi pemangkin pembangunan di sebelah Pahang Barat yang dilihat agak tidak seimbang berbanding kawasan Pahang Tengah dan Pahang Timur yang lebih jauh ke hadapan.
