JOHOR BARU: With the Year of the Snake just around the corner, Johor Zoo will be banking on its slithery stars to bring in even more visitors this year.The recently refurbished facility is home to three pythons and a cobra.
“Within the first four months of Johor Zoo reopening, from Aug 31 to Dec 31, more than 617,000 visitors were recorded. “With the end of the school holidays and the coming Chinese New Year celebrations, we expect to see a high number thronging the zoo,” he said. The state government, he said, will carry out more upgrading works soon to ensure comfort for both visitors and animals alike.
