A recent X (formerly Twitter) post by an Indonesian netizen sparked a debate about the increasing interest in moving to Malaysia. Many Indonesians encouraged him to seek better opportunities in Malaysia, citing a similar cost of living but a higher quality of life.

An Indonesian netizen, @balaqaba, took to his X account to ask social media users if he should move to Malaysia to seek better opportunities.

He wrote, “Should I just move to Malaysia? Because the cost of living seems same as Jakarta but there are more opportunities there.” Many Indonesian netizens encouraged him to seek greener pastures in Malaysia, with some even sharing their own experiences here. “EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS!!!!! I just came back from KL. With a living cost that is almost the same , you can get a better quality of life there. And I got testimonials from Indonesians who have been there and they don’t want to go back.”“Just move, brother, it’s better here . I’ve been working here for 2 years and if possible, I really don’t want to go back. Living in Indonesia has become very suffocating.
