Hillmen Hair Academy in Melaka is offering free hairdressing courses to 100 young people aged 25 and below. The program includes theoretical and practical training, CSR programs, and a year-long employment opportunity with a fixed salary and accommodation.
MELAKA : Hillmen Hair Academy, a hairdressing academy, is offering free courses to produce as many as 100 hair stylists this year. Its owner, Muhammad Hilman Mohd Rosli, said the opportunity is specifically given to young people aged 25 and below who are interested in building a career in the field. He explained that participant selection will be based on eligibility criteria and an interview process.
'We will divide the intake into five batches per year, with each batch spending a month undergoing theoretical and practical training at the academy, followed by a second month engaging in corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs in the real world. 'During the third and subsequent months, they will be employed at any of the three Hillmen Hair Studio branches in Ayer Keroh, Sungai Udang, or Masjid Tanah, with a fixed salary,' he said. According to Muhammad Hilman, participants will receive guidance for a year, with accommodation facilities and a total salary payment of RM20,000. 'After spending 10 years in this industry, I see that some people still consider hairdressing as a non-professional career. 'Actually, through proper encouragement and courses, hair styling can be a lucrative career with premium salaries for those with high skills,' he said.
