SABAH will receive 114 technical officers to implement and expedite Federal projects in the State, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah, Sarawak Affairs and Special Duties) Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.
He said they would be assigned to one district and enable the technical departments, comprising the Public Works Department and Irrigation and Drainage Department to implement projects worth RM50 million promptly. Armizan explained it was a devolution of authority for technical departments under Directive 182, which was a request of the Sabah and Sarawak Governments approved by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
