The Education Ministry in Malaysia will leave the investigation of a case where a 12-year-old student was allegedly beaten by a teacher to the police. The parents of the student have lodged a police report, and the ministry will cooperate with the investigation while providing counselling to the student and his family. The incident occurred on December 10th at a school in Perak, and the child suffered a 'cochlear concussion' after being slapped and punched.
KOTA KINABALU: The Education Ministry will leave it to police to investigate a case where a 12-year-old student was allegedly beaten up by a teacher at a Perak school on Dec 10, says Fadhlina Sidek.
"We should leave the investigation entirely to the police because the parents have lodged a report," she told reporters after the state education leadership assembly at the SM Kian Kok here Saturday .She said the ministry would provide counselling to the child and his family.
