A driver struck a house and part of a gas meter. She walked away from the scene leaving her car behind.
Joanne Berger DuMound/special to cleveland.com.Police got a call at 9:49 a.m. Sept. 26 that a car struck a house. There was no one in the car now. The caller heard something about 10 or 15 minutes ago and saw an older woman walking through the backyard. She was walking away from the car. An officer noted there was some damage to the structure. He asked the fire department to respond to check it out. The car sheared off part of the gas meter. The officer smelled a slight odor of natural gas.
Someone from Mill River condos called Sept. 23 that a blue and yellow bike was in the river. It was in about 6 feet of water. The caller said it may have just been dumped there.Police went to a two-car crash at 4:13 p.m. Sept. 23. It was a head-on collision. Smoke was coming from one vehicle. Air bags had deployed and all occupants were outside the cars. One person suffered a cut on the forehead. Both vehicles were towed.
