KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College (MPAT) is moving to Putrajaya.
In a ceremony on Friday , Malaysian Armed Forces chief Jen Tan Sri Affendi Buang officiated the official closing of the premise, which has been located on Jalan Tekpi since 1981.
The MPAT will be moved to the National Defence Education Centre in Putrajaya and will start operations at its new home on Jan 16. The building formerly used by the MPAT will be taken over by the medical division of the Armed Forces. The MPAT serves as the highest educational institute of the Malaysian Armed Forces, and is attended by officers to prepare them for higher positions in the military. It is also used by other bodies such as the police force and the diplomatic service.Article type: free
