Plainclothes police to monitor tourists’ safety for VM2020
KUALA Lumpur police will employ plainclothes officers and set up a special operations room to assist the Tourist Police Unit in ensuring the safety of tourists during Visit Malaysia 2020.
City police chief Mazlan Lazim said police detectives in plainclothes would be stationed at 73 tourist locations, as well as hotspots for street crimes in the federal capital and Putrajaya, such as Dataran Merdeka, Bukit Bintang and Kuala Lumpur City Centre .
